IFSO EU Audit, on-site inspection
I applied to be accredited as BCE in January 2012 and I received the first on-site inspection in May 2013. It was a great and stimulating experience for all my staff because the accreditation process prompted us to follow the rules, thus improving the standards of patients care. The assessor spent one day and half with us not like a “police woman” but checking all the steps and giving us suggestions and advices to improve the standards. All my team learned a lot and was proud to receive positive feedback. After 3 years we received in July 2016 the second on-site inspection to complete the definitive accreditation process. Step by step all the requirements were checked. We presented our clinical experience during the last 3 years including patients’ outcomes and papers published. Following of BCE rules and the logo helped us to gain respect by the hospital managers. The staff is proud to be certified BCE and the patients consider this as a guarantee to receive the best treatment we can.
